im going....never forget me..

The house was full, everyone of Yoh's friends had shown up for his 16th birthday. You name anyone and they would be right there. Yoh walked to the table were his beloved chocolate cake stood. He licked his lips as he was just about to take a little taiste only for his hand to be smacked by Anna.

''What did i tell you....no cake untill you opened your presents GOT IT YOH!!''

Anna never let Yoh do anything, but he was so scared of her he dare not answer back. Yoh nodded as Anna walked away towards Pilika and Tamao. Horo reached for the CD player and turned on Yoh's favorite song. Everyone started dancing, well everyone apart from Ren. He felt left out being the youngest, apart from Lyserg of course, but he didnt really care so much about him, or anyone really for that matter, or did he? Hao noticed Ren all alone and cautiously walked to him. He placed his arm on Ren's shoulder.

''Whats the matter Ren? Huh.''

Ren brushed Hao's arm from his shoulder and walked outside leaving him standing confused and concerned. Ren was the only one of Yoh's friends who noone really understood. They sometime even wondered if he understood himself. He leaned on the wall and sighed while he stared at the stars.

'The stars have guided me all my life, i never regret anything they have told me, i just wish they could help me with my biggest problem.....my heart.'

He turned his head to see everyone having the time of their life dancing to the music and enjoying the food that Jun had prepered with a little help from Li Pailong. He turned his head and looked down to see a small pebble.

'The pebble is like my heart.....small, cold and hard.'

Horo and Yoh began to talk about Ren's behaviour, though it was not strange for him they thought he would be a bit more excited. Anna asked Jun if anything had happend lately that might have upset him, but she couldnt think of anything at all. Ren kicked the pebble slightly so it just managed to fall over the step. He sighed and looked back inside. By this point he knew they were talking about him. Ren walked down the steps and sat quietly on the grass.

''I think somethings wrong with him, should we go talk to him?''

Horo asked still looking at the younger boy all alone in the darkness of the night sky.

''You know he likes to be alone. Lets just leave him for a while and if he doesnt move then we go to him ok?,,

Horo nodded at Yoh's responce eyes still fixcated on Ren. Anna anounced it was time for Yoh to open his gifts, so everyone gathered around the table. From Horo he got a new T-Shirt; from Anna some new training equipment with a note that said 'get ready for your new training program sweety'; from Jun and Pailong a new CD; from Pilika, Tamao and Chocolove a chain with a silver medalian which read 'Asakura Yoh' and from Hao a pair of headphones since he accidentaly broke his other ones. Yoh thanked everyone for their gifts, but, were was Ren's.? Yoh looked outside at his friend who was still alone as Horo whispered in his ear.

''Is now a good time to go see him?''

Yoh nodded as they headed outside. When they took their first step they emediately felt the cold air brushing against them. How could Ren just sit there in this when even Horo was struggeling?

''Is there something the matter Ren?''

Yoh asked as he tapped Ren on the back. Ren snapped back feircely.

''No nothing is wrong just leave me alone the both of you and tell everyone else in there to stop talking about me do you think i hadnt realised already? So just go away all of you, sorry for ruining your day Yoh guess you shouldnt have invited me huh.''

Ren then stormed off, they now new something was wrong. They watched as he dissapeared into the night.

''But i.....i wanted to invite him......why.....Ren?''

Yoh's voice had lost its usuall happy tone. Horo put his around him. They both new very well that Ren was stubborn, but something really bad must have happened for him to be this way.  The two boys headed back in before they caught cold and told everyone. Just as they finished talking Jun remembered something.

''Hey Yoh i think i know whats the matter.''

''Im listening.''

''Well a couple of days ago Ren was training when he slipped and fell causing him to badly damage his arm, not broken but damaged, anyway, when Pailong took him to the doctors he was told that his arm would hurt for a thew days and he wouldnt be able to train for at least a month.''

Everyone was listeining, at first it didnt seem like much, but then it got more understandable.

''I phoned my parents up to tell them and that we would be going to your birthday, but before i was allowed off the phone my father wanted to tell me something.''

They all knew him and his dad never got on well, so they all should have guessed something like this would happen.

''He told me that the three of us had to return to China for good once Ren was better, which he is now, so we may all have to leave you in the next couple of days and father will not allow you to visit and we will not be allowed out of China.''

All of them stood silent, they may never see Jun, Pailong and most importanly Ren ever again. Even Anna was devistated. Yoh, Hao and Horo went out to find Ren and tell him they knew and bring him home for what may be his last visit to the Asakura household. They were looking for hours untill they reached Ren's favorite place in the town, Centrel Park.

''Ren!....Ren you in here!''

They all shouted. Hao went off to look alone only to find something horrifying.

''Yoh!! Horo!! Come quick!!''

They all ran towards the direction he was in and there he was, Ren laying pale, cold and still with a note in his hand which read....

'Dear my Friends,
                               if you are reading this then you have found out the truth and have come looking. I am sorry to all of you, but i could not live a life were i was not permited to see my very close friends. What kind of life would that be? I will miss you all, but especially you Horo, i never told you this but i always had special feelings for you. I love you Horokeu Usui. Goodbye everyone.

P.S so sorry for today Yoh, i was a complete jerk and i didnt even get you a gift, so to you i give my fondest posesion, my Kwan-Dao, please cherish it always. I love everone of you.'

Each of them let out a waterfall of tears as they ran back home with Hao carrying Ren over his shoulder hoping that maybe Anna could revive him. It seemed like an eternity as they ran as fast as they could back to Yoh's house. Once there they told everyone the horrid news, but sadly there was nothing Anna or anyone else could do. Tao Ren was gone forever. The next day Jun phoned home to tell them the news as they arranged for Ren funeral. They burried him in his favorite place, but the ceremony was held at the Asakura Household. They all paid their respects to their special friend as they lay his coffin down to rest. Horo was the worst of them all. He cried every second of the day and even more so when they spoke about him. Just before he was covered by the soil Horo placed a picture of them all on his coffin which said in the bottom 'Friends forever no matter what, wait for us my special friend and always remember that we love you.''
